Travelling Teams from outside of Wellington NZ$1,750.00 incl GST
As we understand travelling teams already have the expense of travelling to Wellington, your entry fees have been reduced to enable you to enter the Festival. Teams from other centres entering the NZCT Wellington Dragon Boat Festival pay $1750 inclusive of GST for entry and crew tent. This includes free entry to the Opening Ceremony and Saturday night Presentation Party. You are welcome to purchase a training session in Wellington if you can make it here in time, for $165. Please contact the office for an 'out-of-town' team entry form. For preferential discounts on accommodation, please call the Wellington Dragon Boat Festival office for details on the centrally located IBIS Hotel. This is in the perfect location as it's within one minutes walk of the race site, restaurants, and downtown shopping. No transport is required.
Myself as an individual looking to join a team
Costs vary depending on the team you get involved in. Most teams will ask for subs, which help contribute to the all-over costs of entering a team in the Festival. These are usually around $200-300 for the season. This of course may be less less if your team has sponsorship. Registration for indivuals looking to join a team is being held at 7pm on 1st November 2011 at 7pm Chicago Bar, Queens Wharf.
